But we've still got a few more days to watch an era die.
Today’s cancelation of play will see the QFs being pushed to noon tomorrow.

Semifinals will be played on Friday.
...one thing did manage to get accomplished today, as the wheelchair draws were made. At first glance, two-time defending champ Yui Kamiji (#2 seed) seems to have the more forgiving path to a potential final showdown with #1 Diede de Groot.
De Groot and Kamiji are definitely set to face off in the opening semifinal round of doubles.

My 2 weeks in Paris were very enjoyable, and one moment stands out in particular. Little Michael came up to me everyday at Roland Garros to give me a hug. One day I saw him watching my practice and he asked if he could hit with me. This is the best part about my job!!! pic.twitter.com/fIZHhVKvWe

As the 2010's began to wind down in Paris in 2016, the decade ended with a stretch similar to that with which it'd been ushered in -- one that embraced star-turns featuring a run of first-time slam champions.
